Friday I suffered a retinal detachment in my right eye, necessitating an emergency trip to the eye doctor. I will be having it repaired on Monday morning, with a vitrectomy and a scleral buckle surgery. Because of this, I may not post again for a few days.
The electricians have gone as far as they can go for now. This is the new panel under the stairs, which will serve as a wiring closet.
The new Carrier HVAC unit is in place and has been hooked up, although there is no electricity right now. It's located in a closet inside the downstairs half-bath.
The windows and sliding door have been delivered. I don't know when they will be installed, maybe this next week.
There will be a door upstairs onto the deck, but it hasn't arrived yet. This is the smaller of the upstairs bedrooms--adults only in here, for obvious reasons.
The roofers are finishing up today. Yesterday they got half of the existing roof re-done.
These are the shingles they are using. I've tried to show the texture pattern in the next few photos.
So I'll sign off for now, and will re-post when I can see well enough to type!
